Sad News for the NHC // Miss Jessie’s Co-Founder Dies

The Natural Hair Community has lost another great naturalista recently. Titi Branch, recognizable by her curly blonde hair and gorgeous smile, co-founder of Miss Jessie’s products was reportedly found dead December 4, 2014 due to an apparent suicide by asphyxiation; she was 45. Details behind the tragedy have not been released. Andre Robert Lee, director of documentary Prep School Negro, has created a video tribute to the lovely late entrepreneur posted to Vimeo accompanied by the song “Before I Let Go” by Frankie Beverly and Maze. Titi is survived by her sister Miko, neohew, parents, many relatives, and her boyfriend, Anthony Spadfora.

We at 2KL send our prayers and condolences to the Branch family. It is deeply saddening and painful to hear of a death, but particularly so when the deceased, so well-known and loved by many, has died by their own hand. We wish Titi as well as her family, friends, and loved ones peace and comfort. Rest in peace, Titi.
